Choi Yoon's 'The Grammar of Possession' Selected for the Grand Prize of the Lee Hyo-seok Literary Award
[Asia Economy Reporter Byunghee Park] The grand prize of the 21st Lee Hyo-seok Literary Award was awarded to Choi Yoon's novel 'Soyuui Munbeop' (The Grammar of Possession).
The grand prize carries a cash award of 30 million won, and the award ceremony will be held on the 12th of next month at the Lee Hyo-seok Literature Museum in Bongpyeong-myeon, Pyeongchang-gun, Gangwon Province. 'Soyuui Munbeop' is a novel that views the world we belong to through the lens of contemporary issues and the silent human existence.
Choi Yoon was born in Seoul in 1953 and debuted with a critique in 'Munhaksasang' in 1978 and with a novel in 'Munhakgwa Sahoe' in 1988. She has received the Daesan Literary Award, Lee Sang Literary Award, Dongin Literary Award, among others.
Kim Geum-hee, Park Min-jung, Park Sang-young, Shin Joo-hee, and Choi Jin-young, who were finalists, will receive the Excellence Award and a cash prize of 2 million won.

The Lee Hyo-seok Literary Award was established in 2000 at the Pyeongchang-gun Hyoseok Cultural Festival to commemorate the literary achievements of Lee Hyo-seok (1907?1942).
