Seongdong-gu Hosts 'Seoul Forest Healing Film Festival'
‘7th Seoul Forest Healing Film Festival’ held every Friday and Saturday from 21st to 29th at Seoul Forest Family Yard... Popular movies for all ages, strict quarantine measures including social distancing and temperature checks
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Seongdong-gu (Mayor Jeong Won-oh) is hosting the "7th Seoul Forest Healing Film Festival," where people can blow away their weary minds from the COVID-19 pandemic by enjoying a movie in the forest.
The "Seoul Forest Healing Film Festival" has been held annually since 2014, offering an opportunity to enjoy nature and cultural experiences in the complex urban environment with the themes of forest and family, and has been consistently loved by residents.
This year, the festival will take place four times in total on Fridays and Saturdays from August 21 to 29 at 7:30 PM at the "Seoul Forest Family Yard." Starting with "Maleficent I" on the first day, August 21, followed by "The Jungle Book" on the 22nd, "Minions" on the 28th, and "Big Hero" on the last day, the 29th, the festival will screen cheerful and popular movies that everyone, regardless of age or gender, can enjoy. Admission is free.
To comply with COVID-19 prevention guidelines, the venue has been changed from the existing "Seoul Forest Outdoor Stage" to the more spacious "Family Yard." Before each screening, disinfection will be conducted, and social distancing guidelines such as maintaining a 2-meter distance between seats, temperature checks, and providing hand sanitizers will be strictly followed. Staff will be stationed throughout the area to ensure safe viewing.
Additionally, the schedule, which was previously held on Saturdays over four weeks, has been changed to screenings on Fridays and Saturdays over two weeks, and there will be no pre-show performances or experience booths.
