Hapcheon-gun Successfully Hosts the 56th Autumn Korea High School Football Federation Championship
Goal Club, Celebratory Victory for 2 Consecutive Years
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] The 56th Autumn Korean High School Football Federation Tournament, hosted by the Korea High School Football Federation and organized by Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongnam, concluded its 12-day fierce competition with the victory of 'Goal Club'.
A total of 38 teams participated in this tournament, where high school players leading the future of Korean football showcased their skills without reservation.
The final match, broadcast nationwide on June 13 through the SPOTV sports channel and YouTube, began with a showdown between 'Goal Club' and 'Yeonggwang FC', with Goal Club taking home the championship trophy.
In the individual awards category, Goal Club's head coach Hong Seong-ho and coach Jang Jae-ho received the Best Coaching Award. Among the players, Kang Yoon-gu won the Most Valuable Player Award and Top Scorer Award, Bang Soo-won received the Offensive Award, and Bang Seung-gyu was awarded the Goalkeeper Award. From Yeonggwang FC, players Yoo Do-gon received the Excellence Player Award, Lim In-gyu the Defensive Award, and Joo Min-gyu the Young Player Award.
Prior to the awards ceremony, the Korea High School Football Federation donated one set of goalposts and sports facility flood recovery funds (each worth approximately 5 million KRW) to Hapcheon-gun.

Moon Jun-hee, Mayor of Hapcheon-gun, stated, "We prepared for the tournament under thorough quarantine measures to respond to COVID-19, but it was regrettable that major stadiums suffered flood damage due to nationwide heavy rains. We will restore them as soon as possible to ensure no inconvenience for the players and coaches visiting the county, and we will strive to attract future tournaments through improved football infrastructure."
