Kim Tae-nyeon’s 100-Day Inauguration Press Conference Temporarily Postponed “Flood Recovery Takes Priority”
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jin-young] The Democratic Party of Korea has decided to temporarily postpone the 100-day press conference of Floor Leader Kim Tae-nyeon in order to focus on flood recovery efforts.
Park Sung-joon, the Democratic Party floor spokesperson, told reporters after the party's policy coordination meeting on the morning of the 13th, "The flood damage is so severe that we will prioritize flood recovery and temporarily postpone the 100-day press conference."
Regarding the poll results showing the United Future Party leading the Democratic Party in approval ratings, Park said, "Democratic Party lawmakers are probably taking this matter very seriously." However, he added, "There was no mention or discussion about approval ratings during the pre-meeting of the policy coordination meeting today."
When asked by reporters whether issues related to real estate policy affected the drop in approval ratings, he refrained from commenting, saying, "Since there was no specific mention of approval ratings during the meeting, it does not seem appropriate for me as the party spokesperson to comment."
On the same day, Realmeter announced the results of a poll conducted on behalf of tbs, revealing that the United Future Party recorded its highest-ever party approval rating of 36.5%, surpassing the Democratic Party's 33.4%.
