Discovery of 50+ New Jobs Including Smart Construction Experts and Future Car Maintenance Technicians

The Ministry of Economy and Finance announced the 'New Job Activation Plan' confirmed at the 13th Emergency Economic Central Countermeasures Headquarters meeting held on the 13th.
Hong Nam-ki, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance, stated in his opening remarks, "We have identified 14 new jobs emerging due to changes in future industries and demographic structures, including smart construction experts and childcare management specialists, and we plan to review introduction plans for 37+a promising potential jobs." He added, "The government will play a leading role by improving legal systems, training professionals, and creating initial market demand."
The government emphasized that it will focus on discovering and supporting future promising jobs that have been activated in major countries but have not yet been established in Korea. As of last year, the number of jobs in Korea was 16,891, which is fewer compared to the United States (30,653).
Accordingly, the government plans to create about 50+a jobs through ▲ supplementing three previously announced tasks ▲ discovering additional promising new jobs ▲ reviewing potential new jobs.
First, tasks with significant conflicts among stakeholders, such as certified detectives, digital morticians, and personal information protection specialists, will be reviewed mid- to long-term through research projects and meetings.
Additionally, the government will focus on supporting major new jobs emerging from the 4th Industrial Revolution and digital and green innovations, such as smart construction experts, convergent content creators, data visualization experts, future car maintenance technicians, green finance experts, and commerce creators.
With increasing care demands due to demographic changes, support will also be provided for childcare management specialists, refugee professional interpreters/translators, forest leisure instructors, and wood education experts. Furthermore, safety-related jobs such as private lifeguards and mechanical equipment maintenance technicians will also be discovered.
