Ulleung-gun Social Welfare Facilities 'Samgyetang' Sharing Volunteer Service for Malbok
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Dong-wook] Ulleung-gun, Gyeongbuk announced on the 12th that it prepared and delivered 70 servings of nutritious Samgyetang to two social welfare facilities ahead of Malbok on the 15th.
The social welfare facilities involved in this sharing service, participated in by staff from the Ulleung-gun Comprehensive Volunteer Center, were Songdam Silver Town and Songdam Nursing Home, which entered preventive cohort isolation in March due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
During the two-week preventive cohort isolation period, the Ulleung-gun Comprehensive Volunteer Center collaborated with the Ulleung-gun Community Chest of Korea Sharing Volunteer Group to provide 'Love Lunchboxes' for workers and residents.

Kim Byung-su, the county governor who participated in the volunteer service that day, said, "I would like to once again express my gratitude to the workers and residents who participated in the preventive cohort isolation to prevent the spread of COVID-19," adding, "I hope that the nutritious Samgyetang will help restore strength and energy, which tend to decline during the summer, on the occasion of Malbok."
