KOTRA, Amazon India 'Korean Products Exclusive Section' Renovation
53 Stores Including Cosmetics, Home Appliances, Food, and Consumer Goods Opened
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ji-hee] KOTRA announced on the 12th that it has revamped the 'Korean Products Exclusive Pavilion' on India's online distribution platform Amazon India and has been conducting promotions since the 8th.
Through the Bengaluru Trade Office, KOTRA first introduced the Korean Products Exclusive Pavilion on Amazon India last year. This year, products from 38 small and medium-sized enterprises, including 10 domestic companies, have been listed, bringing the total number of participating companies to 53. The product categories are diverse, including cosmetics, home appliances, food, and consumer goods.
In particular, this time, efforts were made to gather Korean company products that have entered various online and offline distribution channels in India into the exclusive pavilion. Our companies are expected to expand their sales channels not only through existing distribution networks but also by utilizing the exclusive pavilion. Products can be viewed on the website.
KOTRA has also launched online promotions targeting the young consumer segment in India. Together with local Hallyu fan clubs, promotional videos for the Korean Products Exclusive Pavilion are produced and shared on social media. Marketing support for participating companies will continue through product review postings and other means.
Kaudaki Sidram, Amazon India Overseas Brand Sourcing Manager, encouraged, “We want to create an environment where Indian consumers can easily purchase Korean products.”
