Naver Donates 1.5 Billion KRW and Kakao 2 Billion KRW for Heavy Rain Damage Recovery
[Asia Economy Reporter Bu Aeri] Naver and Kakao have donated funds to help flood victims affected by heavy rain.
On the 11th, Naver announced that it would donate 1.5 billion KRW to the Community Chest of Korea to support flood victims and local communities.
A Naver representative stated, "We have participated in efforts to overcome national difficulties such as wildfires, typhoons, and diseases," adding, "This time, we will actively participate in flood recovery not only through donations but also through Naver's platforms and technologies."
Naver's online donation portal, 'Happybean,' is conducting a fundraising campaign for flood relief in cooperation with the National Disaster Relief Association until the 31st of this month.
Kakao also announced a donation of 1 billion KRW to the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association. Kim Beom-su, Chairman of Kakao, is donating personal shares equivalent to 1 billion KRW.
Along with the donation, Kakao has established a fundraising box related to the 'Emergency Fundraising for Flood Damage' with the National Disaster Relief Association.

Kakao plans to encourage more users to participate in supporting flood damage recovery through platforms such as KakaoTalk Channel and Kakao Bizboard. Kakao's donations will be delivered through the corporate foundation 'Kakao Impact.'
