The newly appointed Chief Kim Jaegyu was appointed as a police inspector in 1986 (2nd class of the Korean National Police University), and has served as the 1st Deputy Chief of Gwangju Police Agency, Deputy Chief of Gyeonggi Northern Police Agency, Head of the Police Investigation Structure Reform Team, Director of the Cyber Safety Bureau of the National Police Agency, Chief of Gangwon Police Agency, and has now assumed office as the 32nd Chief of the Jeonnam Provincial Police Agency.
