View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Home&Shopping (CEO Kim Ok-chan) announced on the 5th that it held a 'Vehicle Air Purifier Donation Ceremony' together with six NGOs, including the Gangseo Hope Sharing Welfare Foundation. This ceremony was conducted by Home&Shopping directly purchasing 13,000 vehicle air purifiers worth 1.1 billion KRW and donating them to six partner organizations. Each partner organization plans to use them for low-income residents, people with disabilities, social welfare facilities, small business owners, and other vulnerable groups as well as institutional service vehicles.
Meanwhile, Home&Shopping continues its social contribution efforts for local communities and marginalized groups. In April, it donated 300 million KRW to the Korean Red Cross as a COVID-19 relief fund, and in May, it signed a business agreement with the Park Tae-hwan Swimming Science Promotion Institute to support the 'Basic Life Safety Swimming Education Project' for underprivileged children. In June, it provided desk partitions to Gojin Elementary School near its headquarters to prepare for COVID-19, and in July, it expanded its social contribution activities by donating to the Global Sharing Movement, a corporation supporting global poverty eradication projects.
