At around 2:53 PM on the 31st, the first-floor formwork at an urban-style residential housing construction site in Seongjeong-dong, Seobuk-gu, Cheonan-si, Chungcheongnam-do, collapsed.
The formwork fell on the workers nearby, trapping seven workers under the pile of formwork.
Among the seven, three rescued themselves, while the remaining four were rescued with the help of the emergency 119 rescue team.
As a result of the accident, six people sustained abrasions and other injuries and are receiving treatment at a nearby hospital.
The police are investigating the exact cause of the accident, believing the formwork collapsed because it could not withstand the weight of the rebar.
