Bank of Korea Issues Four Commemorative Coins Featuring Woraksan, Gyeryongsan, Hallasan, and Taeanhaean
Reservation Registration from the 6th to the 20th of Next Month
[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Sehee] The Bank of Korea announced on the 30th that it will issue four types of commemorative coins featuring Korea's national parks: Wolaksan, Gyeryongsan, Hallasan, and Taeanhaean.
There will be one type each of 50,000 won silver coins, totaling four types. The issuance volume is 7,000 coins per type, totaling 28,000 coins. The front side of the commemorative coins depicts the core landscapes of the national parks, while the reverse side features representative flora and fauna of each national park.
This commemorative coin series has an increased size compared to the 'Korea's National Parks' commemorative coins issued until last year (diameter increased from 32mm to 40mm).

Meanwhile, reservations for purchasing the Korea National Parks commemorative coins will be accepted from the 6th to the 20th of next month, and the coins will be distributed starting October 20th.
