Seoul City Extends Support Period and Expands Scope for Repairing Aging Low-Rise Housing
[Asia Economy Reporter Onyu Lim] Seoul City announced on the 29th that it will extend the application period and expand the support scope for the 'Seoul Gakkeum Housing Project,' which helps repair old low-rise houses.
The Gakkeum Housing Project is a system where the city subsidizes half of the renovation costs for old houses within the Housing Performance Improvement Support Zone, up to a maximum of 20 million KRW.
This year's project was originally scheduled to accept applications until September 29, but the period has been extended until the support budget is exhausted.
Buildings located in the 'Remodeling Activation Zone' within the Housing Performance Improvement Support Zone are now also eligible for support for extension construction. Originally, only performance improvement work or major repairs were supported.
