According to Busan police on the 27th, a female cat severely burned on its lower body, presumed to have been scorched with a gas torch, was found on the 25th in a one-room apartment parking lot near Dusil Station on Line 1 of the Geumjeong-gu urban railway.
The cat was "Captain," owned by Mr. A (60), who raised it in his yard and was pregnant at the time. Mr. A took the cat to an animal hospital for treatment, but it died around 10 a.m. on the 27th. The four unborn kittens also did not survive.
According to the animal hospital, it is believed that someone intentionally abused the cat using a gas torch or similar device. They have offered a reward of 1 million won to catch the animal abuser.
