BG Morita Koichi worked at Bridgestone for 30 years, serving as unit leader of the tire material development department, head of Research Department 1, head of the Central Research Institute, and head of the Innovation Headquarters. While working at Bridgestone, he received the Science and Technology Award from the Japanese Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology for his development of tire materials using nanotechnology control of modified polymers.
Nexen Tire plans to secure future core source technologies centered on material development and advanced research through this executive recruitment. The company aims to lead future technologies in the global market focused on eco-friendly vehicles such as electric and hydrogen cars, triggered by the mobility paradigm shift.
