According to NHK on the 26th, as of 6:30 PM NHK tally, 755 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed in Japan. As a result, the total number of COVID-19 cases in Japan, including 712 passengers from the cruise ship 'Diamond Princess,' has increased to 31,298.
Japan's daily COVID-19 confirmed cases were 795 on the 22nd, 981 on the 23rd, 777 on the 24th, and 803 the previous day, maintaining over 700 cases for five consecutive days including today.
In the capital Tokyo Metropolis, 239 new COVID-19 cases were reported today. The cumulative number of COVID-19 cases in Tokyo Metropolis is 11,214. Tokyo's daily confirmed cases were 237 on the 21st, 238 on the 22nd, 366 on the 23rd, 260 on the 24th, and 295 the previous day, marking over 200 cases for six consecutive days including today.
