At around 11:51 a.m. on the 25th, a fire occurred at a car scrapyard in Deogi-dong, Ilsanseo-gu, Goyang-si, Gyeonggi Province. The fire department dispatched 20 fire trucks and over 80 firefighters to extinguish the fire.
So far, no casualties have been reported.
The fire department estimates that sparks fell to the ground during vehicle cutting work and ignited waste oil.
The smoke from the fire rose high, leading to reports from nearby Gimpo and Paju as well.
