The SW-Centered University Project Group at Dongmyung University announced on the 24th that it successfully completed the '2020 SW Talent Startup Camp' held on the 20th and 21st at the Busan Centum Hotel.

The camp, attended by about 40 participants including students and professors, aimed to help participants gain a comprehensive understanding of how to turn ideas into startups and the overall software startup process through special lectures and mentoring sessions.

In the afternoon, through the session 'Meeting with Software Entrepreneurs,' the definition of software startups, innovation in software startup ideas, and successful startup cases were introduced. The content aimed to eliminate vague fears about startups and encourage a proactive mindset.

On the second day, a special lecture on 'Startup Process Using Design Thinking' was held to help prepare for the startup competition by understanding various methods to generate startup ideas.

After the lectures and mentoring, startup ideas presented by student teams were judged, and a total of four teams were selected and awarded: Grand Prize to 1 team (Lee Ho-min and 4 others, prize money 300,000 KRW), Gold Prize to 1 team (Kim Hyun-ho and 5 others, prize money 200,000 KRW), and Silver Prize to 2 teams (Kwak Hyun-geun and 5 others, Yoon Soo-young and 4 others, prize money 100,000 KRW each).

They strengthened their capabilities regarding the overall software startup process and explored commercialization strategy plans."
