The support targets a total of 4,923 children, including 3,152 children under 24 months and 1,771 children over 24 months who are receiving home care allowances as of May this year.
A total of 172,300 dental masks, 35 masks per child, will be provided.
For children under 24 months, adult masks will be distributed to parents instead of children in accordance with the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety’s recommendation against mask-wearing for infants and toddlers.
Guro-gu plans to complete mask distribution through local community centers by August 7.
