Turkey Reports New COVID-19 Cases in the 900s for 5 Consecutive Days
[Asia Economy Reporter Dongwoo Lee] The number of new COVID-19 cases in Turkey has remained in the 900s for five consecutive days.
On the 19th (local time), the Turkish Ministry of Health reported that the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases increased by 918 from the previous day, reaching 218,717.
The daily number of confirmed cases had decreased to the 700-800 range in early last month, then rose to around 1,500 in mid-last month before gradually declining. The cumulative death toll was reported to have increased by 17 from the previous day, reaching 5,475.
Turkish health authorities conducted 40,943 COVID-19 diagnostic tests in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of tests conducted to 4,230,267.

The total number of recovered patients was 201,013, with a recovery rate of approximately 91.9%.
