Daegu Reports No New COVID-19 Cases... Gyeongbuk Remains Quiet for 13 Days

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Dong-wook] On the 19th, no new confirmed cases were reported in Daegu, where sporadic cases of overseas-imported COVID-19 infections had continued.
According to Daegu City, as of midnight on the 19th, the cumulative number of confirmed cases in the region remains at 6,932, the same as the previous day. The number of recovered patients increased by one as of the previous day’s discharge, totaling 6,824 (recovery rate 97.1%). The death toll stands at 186.
In Daegu, following two cases on the 16th, three members of a family entering from Uzbekistan were confirmed positive on the 18th.
Meanwhile, in the Gyeongbuk region, the record of zero new confirmed cases has continued for 13 consecutive days. The cumulative number of confirmed cases in the region as of midnight on the 19th is 1,351. The numbers of recovered patients and deaths remain unchanged at 1,289 and 58, respectively.
