Gimje-si Hosts '2030 Youth Camp,' a Space for Youth Empathy
42 Unmarried Employees Participate in Discovering Population Youth Policies
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hong Jaehee] Gimje City, Jeonbuk, held a 2030 Youth Camp with unmarried employees to foster a healthy marriage culture, a core aspect of its population policy.
On the 17th, the city announced that it held the "New-Brain 2030 Youth Camp" under the theme "Drawing the Future of Gimje Together (Youth, Marriage Edition)" at Geumsan Culture and Welfare Center, with 42 unmarried employees working in the city participating.
The Youth Camp was organized for young generations aged between 25 and 39 working within the city hall to form positive values toward marriage and build social consensus on issues such as late marriage and low birth rates, aiming to create a healthy marriage culture.
The event included team-building activities, a DISC personality test and a lecture on the art of communication by instructor Park Eunseon, followed by a problem-solving workshop where participants freely discussed and communicated about "Marriage and Family, the Future of Gimje Youth."
Additionally, each subgroup explored local resources around Geumsan-myeon and engaged in challenging sessions proposing vivid policy ideas that could bring new vitality to Gimje.
One employee who participated in the camp expressed satisfaction, saying that although they worked at the same workplace, differences in tasks and offices left little time to open up and socialize, but through team autonomous exploration and subgroup discussions, the emotional distance was greatly reduced.
The city plans to actively reflect the policies proposed through subgroup discussions in the second half of the year’s Gimje City population and youth policies.
