[Golf Topic] LPGA Tour "No Spectators Until the End of August~"
[Asia Economy Reporter Nowrae Noh] ○…The U.S. Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) Tour will be held without spectators until the end of August.
On the 17th (Korean time), the LPGA Tour announced, "No spectators will be allowed at the Marathon Classic, which opens on August 6 in Sylvania, Ohio." This measure was taken due to concerns over the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). The Marathon Classic had planned to allow up to 2,000 gallery attendees per day, but ultimately could not invite golf fans. The LPGA Tour has been suspended since the Australian Women's Open in February due to COVID-19.
