Galaxy Fold 2 Unpacked Event Expected to Reveal Release Schedule

[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] The Galaxy Fold 2 will be unveiled at this year's Unpacked event, but its release is expected to be delayed until late September or October.
On the 15th (local time), Ross Young, CEO of market research firm Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC), stated, "The Galaxy Fold 2 may not be released until early October, but it will be announced at the Unpacked event on August 5," adding, "Assembly will begin in September." This completely refutes the analysis that it would not be announced at Unpacked.
IT tipster Max Weinbach also revised his earlier prediction that the Galaxy Fold 2 would not be revealed at Unpacked. He said, "It will be announced at Unpacked with the information that it is scheduled for release in October." Chinese IT tipster Ice Universe said, "I have heard that the Galaxy Fold 2 will be unveiled on August 5 and will start selling in China from September 20."
Specifications such as the display size and camera specs of the Galaxy Fold 2 are also being revealed one by one. CEO Ross Young explained, "The Galaxy Fold 2's display size is 7.59 inches with a resolution of 2213x1689, a 120Hz refresh rate, and LTPO (Low-Temperature Polycrystalline Oxide) technology applied." LTPO is a technology that reduces power consumption while increasing refresh rate and resolution.

The Galaxy Fold 2 is expected to be equipped with the Snapdragon 865+ chipset and will be released in 256GB and 512GB memory models. The cover display, viewed when folded, is expected to include a punch hole for the front camera and measure 6.23 inches. The rear camera setup will feature a triple camera system including a 64-megapixel main camera and two 12-megapixel cameras. It will be released exclusively for 5G and is expected to have a 4365mAh battery supporting 25W fast charging and 15W wireless charging.
