Blood Donation with Target Group... '2020 Red Challenge' 진행
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Seon-ae] Daesang Group is conducting a blood donation campaign called '2020 Red Challenge' throughout July, involving all group affiliates.
According to Daesang Group on the 16th, this campaign, participated in by all affiliates including Daesang Corporation, Daesang Life Science, Chorokmaeul, and Daesang F&B, was planned to support the blood supply, which is struggling to maintain the appropriate five-day blood stock level due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
Nationwide, a blood stock of more than five days is required for smooth supply management. Blood stock below five days is managed at the 'interest' stage, and below three days at the 'caution' stage. This year, due to the sharp decline in blood donations caused by COVID-19, the 'caution' stage, which was recorded for five days last year, has already lasted seven days this year.
Daesang Group also prepared an event that the general public can participate in to encourage nationwide interest and participation in blood donation. During the campaign period, individuals can participate by posting a blood donation certification photo or blood donation card on their personal social network service (SNS) with hashtags (#Daesang #Cheongjeongwon #RedChallenge #Thanks #BloodDonation, etc.) and applying through the event board on the Korean Red Cross website. Among the general participants, 200 winners will be selected by lottery to receive a food box consisting of Cheongjeongwon and Jongga products, and 100 winners will receive health supplements such as Daesang Wellife Red Ginseng as prizes.
Since 2006, Daesang Group has been conducting the 'Donate Blood Before Vacation' campaign with the Korean Red Cross, involving employees. Over the 14 years of the campaign, the number of donated blood cards reached 4,567 as of last year.
