The couple entered through Incheon Airport on the 30th of last month and developed symptoms while under self-quarantine in Moksang-dong, Daedeok-gu. The city explained that since the couple was confirmed positive during self-quarantine, there was no separate movement path.
On the same day, a man in his 40s (#161) residing in Bongmyeong-dong, Yuseong-gu, Daejeon, also tested positive. This means three confirmed cases appeared in the region within a day. The city is currently classifying five close contacts of #161, including two family members and three employees, and conducting COVID-19 diagnostic tests.
Earlier, it was confirmed that #161 worked at a construction site where #142, another confirmed case, was employed as a site manager. The city noted that although there was no direct contact between the two confirmed cases, there is a possibility of indirect contact inside a container.
