A man in his 60s riding a bicycle on a highway was hit and killed by four vehicles in succession.

[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Bong-ju] A man in his 60s riding a bicycle on a car-only road was fatally struck by four vehicles in succession.
According to Cheongju Cheongwon Police Station, at around 12:30 a.m. on the 14th, an SUV driven by A (28) traveling in the first lane of a two-lane one-way car-only road in Bukim-myeon, Cheongwon-gu, Cheongju City, hit B (60), who was riding a bicycle ahead.
Due to the impact of the accident, B was thrown into the opposite lane and was subsequently hit by three more vehicles in succession.
B was seriously injured in the accident and was transported to a nearby hospital but ultimately passed away.
The police have booked A and the other drivers involved on charges of violating the Special Act on Traffic Accident Handling and are investigating the exact circumstances of the incident.
