Police to Conduct Digital Forensics on Mayor Park Won-soon's Mobile Phone Soon
[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-yoon] The police plan to conduct digital forensic work on the late Park Won-soon, former Mayor of Seoul's mobile phone to verify the circumstances of his death.
According to the police on the 14th, the Seongbuk Police Station in Seoul decided to carry out digital forensics on Mayor Park's mobile phone under the direction of the prosecutor. The forensic work is expected to be handled by the National Police Agency. The police are currently obtaining consent from the bereaved family for the forensic procedure.
A police official stated, "(The digital forensics) is solely for investigating the death case and is not related to any other suspicions," adding, "We plan to schedule the work after consulting with the family."
