View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Kyung-pil] Wando-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 13th that it will build the 'Gunoe-myeon Neighborhood Living-Type National Sports Center' to promote the health of residents and revitalize community sports.
The Gunoe-myeon Neighborhood Living-Type National Sports Center will be constructed with a total project cost of 2.5 billion KRW on a site at 204-1, Wondong-ri, Gunoe-myeon. It will be a single-story building with a total area of 999㎡.
The project is scheduled to be completed by February next year, with construction starting at the end of July.
An official from Wando-gun stated, "By being selected for the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's public project last year, we will build a gymnasium that can be used as a community sports facility for volleyball, basketball, badminton, and more. Additionally, we will enhance its usability by equipping it with a stage and broadcasting facilities to host various local events."

Furthermore, the official said, "We were also selected for the public project to build National Sports Centers in Nohwa-eup and Cheongsan-myeon, which is expected to greatly contribute to improving the sports welfare of residents in island areas lacking sports facilities."
