Gyeonggi Fire Department Monitors City and County CCTV at a Glance...Nation's First
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters has established a system that comprehensively manages security CCTV cameras managed by each city and county in the province through the 119 situation room.
The Gyeonggi Fire Headquarters announced on the 13th that it recently completed and officially launched the "Disaster Video Integrated Control Center Construction Project," which was initiated in August last year as the first among fire headquarters nationwide to strengthen the command and control capabilities of the 119 situation room.
Currently, the Gyeonggi Fire Headquarters is managing CCTV cameras integrated from seven local governments in the province, including Suwon and Yongin. The headquarters plans to expand to five more local governments, including Paju, by September, and then add eight more local governments, including Anyang, to the integrated management system by the first half of next year.
Furthermore, the Gyeonggi Fire Headquarters is also pursuing plans to additionally link CCTV cameras with related agencies such as the National Police Agency, Korea Expressway Corporation, and the Traffic Information Center.
The Disaster Video Integrated Control Center of the Gyeonggi Fire Headquarters is a comprehensive command and operation dashboard that integrates various video information and fire information using a Geographic Information System (GIS).
