According to Jeonbuk health authorities on the 12th, a woman in her 30s, Ms. A, a Filipino marriage immigrant, tested positive for COVID-19.
Ms. A entered the country through Incheon Airport at 5 a.m. the previous day and, showing no particular symptoms, traveled to Gunsan using her spouse's vehicle.
During the trip, she stopped at Songsan Grape Rest Area (Pyeongtaek direction) between 7:20 a.m. and 7:50 a.m., and at Seosan Rest Area between 8:55 a.m. and 9:05 a.m.
At that time, Ms. A was wearing a mask, and only her husband got off at Seosan Rest Area to purchase beverages.
She arrived at Gunsan Health Center at 10:20 a.m., underwent specimen collection, and was placed under self-quarantine. At 9:15 p.m., the Health and Environment Research Institute confirmed a positive result, and she was admitted to Gunsan Medical Center.
