[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Eunbyeol] At 6:38 AM on the 12th (local time), a magnitude 5.1 earthquake occurred in Guye District, Tangshan City, Hebei Province, northern China.
According to the China Earthquake Networks Center on the 12th, the epicenter was located at 39.78 degrees north latitude, 118.44 degrees east longitude, at a depth of 10 km. Tremors were also reported in nearby Tianjin and Beijing, close to Tangshan City where the earthquake occurred.
