15 Tons of Illegally Dumped Eel Carcasses: Waste Offender Caught

According to the county on the 9th, on the 7th, the Imsil Police Station arrested and is currently investigating waste intermediate processing operator Mr. A on charges of illegally dumping 15 tons of eel carcasses in a forest area in Deokchi-myeon.
The county's Cleaning and Sanitation Division received a report of improper waste disposal on the 16th of last month and immediately dispatched personnel to the site, conducting waterproofing work by covering the dumped waste with plastic to prevent evidence destruction and environmental pollution.
Following this, after reviewing CCTV footage of the suspected dumping vehicle, the collected related materials were handed over to the Imsil Police Station on the 17th of last month, and a formal investigation was requested.
The police, upon launching the investigation, promptly conducted on-site inspections and CCTV reviews, successfully apprehending the illegal dumping offender through reinforced investigations.
According to the police, Mr. A admitted to dumping illegally to save on waste disposal costs, and waste consignment operators are also being tracked.
Since the culprit has been caught, the county plans to remove and process all the waste by the 10th to prevent environmental pollution in the surrounding area.
