On the 8th, Hyundai Motor announced that amid the ongoing economic crisis, it will carry out a ‘win-win campaign’ in five areas?▲local farms ▲alley markets ▲traditional markets ▲small business owners ▲and depressed industries?led by 20 regional headquarters nationwide to revitalize local commercial districts through consumption stimulation.
First, on the 7th, Hyundai Motor purchased rice, livestock products, and other items from farms in Pyeongtaek City, which have been struggling due to school meal suspensions, and created food ingredient boxes called ‘Hope Packages’ to deliver to about 400 vulnerable households in urgent need of livelihood support, including elderly living alone and low-income grandparent-headed families residing in Pyeongtaek City.
Within this month, they plan to purchase local agricultural products in Daejeon, Chungnam, and Gyeongbuk regions and deliver them to medical staff who are working hard to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
In addition, Hyundai Motor will carry out win-win activities linked to traditional markets by supporting hygiene supplies such as aprons and wet wipes to merchants in traditional markets in Suyu, Guri, and Anyang areas, and will also conduct win-win activities linked to alley markets by providing free inspection services directly from Blue Hands to users of small restaurants in Ulsan.
They will also support depressed industries and small business owners who are struggling to make a living due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic. Hyundai Motor will purchase flowerpots from small-scale flower farms in the northern Gyeonggi region and daily necessities such as spoons and water bottles needed by children from small business owners in Daegu to deliver to vulnerable groups.
