North Korean Ambassador to the UN "Fully Supports Hong Kong Security Law"
[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Sehee] The North Korean ambassador to the United Nations sent a letter to the Chinese ambassador expressing full support for China's enactment of the Hong Kong National Security Law (Hong Kong Security Law).
On the 5th, the North Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs posted an article titled "There can be no concession or compromise whatsoever on issues of national sovereignty" on its website.
The North Korean ambassador stated, "We fully support the Chinese Party and government’s adoption of the Hong Kong National Security Law to safeguard the country's sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity," adding, "We firmly oppose and reject external interference that undermines Hong Kong’s stability and development." He also emphasized, "Respect for sovereignty and non-interference in internal affairs are fundamental principles of state relations that all countries in the world must uphold."
