Busan City announced on the 5th that, together with the Busan Regional Headquarters of the Marine Safety Practice Headquarters, it will hold a special marine safety photo exhibition showcasing the winning entries of the 2019 Busan Port Marine Safety Photo Contest from the 6th to the 10th at the underground passage connecting to Busan City Hall subway station.
The winning entries of last year’s Busan Port Marine Safety Photo Contest include photos that resonate with marine safety themes such as maritime safety, leisure and water play safety, and port safety. A total of 21 award-winning works will be displayed, including 1 Grand Prize, 4 Excellence Awards, 6 Merit Awards, and 10 Honorable Mentions.
This special exhibition was planned with the intention of widely promoting the importance of marine safety starting from July, the beginning of the vacation season, and fostering a mature marine safety culture. The purpose is for not only marine and fisheries-related organizations in the Busan area but also ordinary citizens to participate together in creating a safe sea.
Kim Hyun-jae, Director of the Marine Fisheries and Logistics Bureau of Busan City, said, “We expect this special exhibition to serve as an opportunity to raise awareness of marine safety among marine and fisheries-related organizations and Busan citizens.”
