Jin Joong-kwon on No Young-min's Sale of Cheongju House: "In the End, Leaving Only the Gangnam Apartment... It's No Different from Disposing of Voters"
Former Dongyang University professor Jin Joong-kwon speaking at the discussion titled "Talking about the 21st General Election! Lost Conservative Politics, What is the Solution?" held on May 15 at the National Assembly Members' Office Building in Yeouido, Seoul, hosted by Yoo Ui-dong and Oh Shin-hwan of the United Future Party.

[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Yeon-ju] Former Dongyang University professor Jin Joong-kwon mocked Blue House Chief of Staff Noh Young-min's announcement on the 2nd that he would sell his apartment in Cheongju, his electoral district, saying, "The Blue House aides seem to carefully keep their 'smart one house' in Gangnam, while only disposing of apartments in remote provinces."
On the same day, Jin wrote on his Facebook, "It is no different from disposing of the local voters who elected him," and pointed out, "It is a cold-blooded judgment that the value of all the voters in the electoral district is less than that of a 13-pyeong apartment in Gangnam."
Earlier, following the government's order that 'multi-home owners among aides must dispose of all houses except the one they actually reside in,' Chief of Staff Noh put up for sale his apartment in Gagyeong-dong, Heungdeok-gu, Cheongju, Chungbuk (67.44㎡), among the apartments he owns in Banpo-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul (22.86㎡). Noh served three terms representing the Heungdeok-gu Eul electoral district in Cheongju.
Although Noh conveyed the fact of disposing of the house as an act of leading by example, criticism has been mounting over the fact that he kept the Gangnam apartment and put up for sale the apartment in his former parliamentary electoral district.
Regarding this, former professor Jin sarcastically said, "I salute their thorough rationalism," adding, "These people are not living well for no reason."
