"Things to Change in the Post-Corona Era" Special Lecture by Choi Jaecheon, Ewha Womans University Chair Professor

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Geon-ju] The Jeonbuk Cultural Heritage Administration’s National Intangible Heritage Center will hold a special lecture on "Humans, Nature, and Intangible Cultural Heritage" at 2 p.m. on the 7th at the National Intangible Heritage Center International Conference Hall.
The lecturer is Professor Choi Jae-chun, Ewha Womans University Chair Professor, who will give a special lecture on the theme "Ecological Transition and the Future of Intangible Cultural Heritage in the Post-Corona Era."
The special lecture will emphasize the importance of coexistence with ecology and living beings in nature, which has emerged as a major topic in the post-corona era.
Additionally, through a dialogue with former Director Cheon Jin-gi of the National Jeonju Museum, the relationship between nature and intangible cultural heritage will be examined, and there will be an in-depth discussion on humanity’s intangible cultural heritage with its long history intertwined with nature.
Professor Choi Jae-chun, the lecturer, is one of Korea’s leading sociobiologists and served as an advisory member of the "2020 World Intangible Cultural Heritage Forum." He argues that humans need appropriate distancing from nature due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
He notably coined and used the terms "ecological vaccine" and "behavioral vaccine," and this special lecture will also be broadcast live on the Jeonju MBC YouTube channel.
