Gyeongnam Province Provides Free Training Support for Bus Driver Job Seekers
Free Training Focused on Practical Skills Development... Worth 1.5 Million KRW Per Person
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Choi Hyun-joo] Gyeongnam Province announced on the 1st that it will additionally recruit trainees for the ‘2020 Gyeongsangnam-do Bus Driver Training Project.’
The recruitment period is from the 13th to the 24th, aiming to address the shortage of drivers due to reduced working hours by training drivers through customized education from specialized institutions to improve public transportation services.
Eligibility is for Gyeongnam residents aged 20 to under 60 who hold a Class 1 Large Vehicle License, with a total of 81 people to be selected.
The selected individuals will receive ▲ practical training at the Korea Transportation Safety Authority Sangju Traffic Safety Experience Education Center ▲ on-site training at transportation companies from August to November. In particular, education fees worth approximately 1.5 million KRW per person, including fees for the Sangju Traffic Safety Experience Education Center, will be provided free of charge.
Yoon In-guk, Director of Urban Transportation Bureau of Gyeongnam Province, said, “We expect that conducting education focused on cultivating practical skills will foster high-quality bus drivers and further contribute to the improvement of public transportation services.”
