United Future Party's Harsh Criticism of Government Real Estate Policy: "All Blue House Aides Are Multiple Homeowners"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] The United Future Party criticized the government's real estate policy, claiming that "all the Blue House aides are multiple homeowners."
On the 30th, Hwang Gyu-hwan, deputy spokesperson of the United Future Party, pointed out in a statement, "The president's precious words, saying 'Don't buy houses because prices will plummet like in Japan,' apparently did not reach the ears of the Blue House aides."
Last December, Chief Secretary to the Blue House, Noh Young-min, told the multiple homeowners among the Blue House aides in the metropolitan area to "dispose of all but one house," but even after half a year, all six aides remaining in the Blue House still own multiple houses.
Deputy spokesperson Hwang said, "While the Blue House aides have moved so cohesively and shown loyalty at the president's word on policies and current issues, they were an exception when it came to protecting their own real estate," adding, "Public office is finite, but real estate is infinite, which has led to sarcastic remarks."
Hwang criticized, "This administration labeled those owning one house as speculators and imposed all kinds of loan regulations to prevent young people from buying homes," and asked, "Having become multiple homeowners themselves, are they now kicking away the ladder of hope for ordinary people to own their own homes?"

He said, "Owning multiple houses itself may not be a problem," but criticized, "However, since this administration has issued patchwork measures 21 times, depriving ordinary people even of the dream to own one house, the public cannot hide their feelings of frustration." Meanwhile, requests to cancel the designation of areas as regulated zones under the Moon administration's 21st real estate policy, the June 17 real estate measures, are continuing, and related petitions are pouring in amid constitutional controversies over the retroactive application of loan regulations.
