30s Man Sent to Prosecution for Killing Ex-Girlfriend's Father
[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Yeon-ju] A man in his 30s who wielded a weapon against the family of his ex-girlfriend, resulting in the death of her father, has been sent to the prosecution.
Jeonbuk Jeongeup Police Station announced on the 30th that A (32), who was detained on charges including murder, was sent to the prosecution with a recommendation for indictment.
A is accused of stabbing B (67), the father of his ex-girlfriend, in the chest and neck with a weapon at a house in Sannae-myeon, Jeongeup-si, around 8:50 p.m. on the 17th, resulting in his death.
He is also accused of injuring his ex-girlfriend and her mother by wielding a weapon against them.
The ex-girlfriend and her mother were reportedly transferred to a hospital for treatment.
After the crime, A is said to have self-inflicted wounds by stabbing his neck and wrists with a weapon.
According to the police investigation, A committed the crime using broken glass pieces from the front yard and a weapon from a vehicle, due to the ex-girlfriend’s parents opposing their relationship.
