Yangcheon-gu, Administrative Organization Restructured for the Next 30 Years... Establishment of Environment and Greenery Bureau and Airport Noise Countermeasures Team
Administrative organization restructured to proactively respond to diverse administrative demands such as the 4th Industrial Revolution and urban regeneration... ‘Environmental Greenery Bureau’ newly established to create a better living Yangcheon, and Health Branch Team promoted to ‘Health Branch’ for enhanced medical services
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Yangcheon-gu (Mayor Kim Soo-young) has carried out an organizational restructuring in the 7th elected term to provide better administrative services tailored to the diverse needs and expectations of residents, and will fully implement it starting July 1.
Since Yangcheon-gu is a residential-oriented city with residential areas accounting for more than 70% of the total area, it first established the "Environment and Greenery Bureau" to actively respond to various environmental issues and create a pleasant living environment. The Green Environment Division, the main division of the Environment and Greenery Bureau, changed its Environmental Management Team to the "Airport Noise Countermeasure Team" to focus more on aircraft noise countermeasures and support services for residents in affected areas.
Additionally, to promote sustainable urban growth and improve residents' quality of life, the "Smart Information Division" and "Urban Regeneration Division" were newly established. To proactively respond to increasingly complex and diverse administrative demands, the "Local Income Tax Division" and "Self-Reliance Support Division" were created in the tax and welfare fields closely related to residents' daily lives.
Furthermore, to provide residents with more comprehensive regional health care services, the Health Branch Team was promoted to a Health Branch (Division), and dedicated teams were established by region.
There are also significant changes in the welfare sector and community service center operations. In the welfare sector, teams were reorganized with more detailed divisions according to their responsibilities. Welfare-related tasks at community service centers will offer a one-stop welfare consultation service, linking residents who do not meet eligibility criteria after public system counseling to other welfare resources through case managers.
This is expected to greatly enhance residents' perception and satisfaction with welfare services by providing specialized services tailored to their needs.

We will actively respond to residents' expectations by becoming an organization that quickly adapts to increasingly complex and diverse administrative demands."
