Gyeongnam National University LINC+ Project Group Holds 'Cheongbaji Innovation Project' Award Ceremony... Proposes Solutions to Local Community Issues

View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Woo-kwon] The LINC+ Project Group at Gyeongnam National University announced on the 26th that it held the award ceremony for the 2020 first semester community (industry) linked course 'Cheongbaji (Youth Changing the Local Community) Innovation Project Competition' in the Industry-Academia Cooperation Seminar Room on the 5th floor of the Industry-Academia Cooperation Building.
This competition was organized with the purpose of nurturing talent that fits a community-based university through the operation of community (industry) linked courses and sharing and spreading excellent cases.
On this day, the prestigious grand prize was awarded to two teams: the 'Deokdong' team and the 'Yonghosangbak' team.
First, the 'Deokdong' team, taking the course Cultural Economics (advisor Professor Seo Ik-jin), which presented on the theme 'Deokdong Renaissance Project,' conducted a survey to identify the reasons and problems behind the activation of restaurants and cafes in Deokdong Village, Changwon City, where nuisance facilities such as manure treatment plants and household waste landfills are concentrated, and then suggested future development directions and a new village development model.
Next, the 'Yonghosangbak' team, taking the course Library Tourism Development and Operation (advisor Professor Lee Sang-tak), presented on the theme 'Development of Tongyeong Yonghodo Island Area, Exploring Relationships on Yonghodo Island.' They discovered residents' stories and cultural resources of the island area of 'Tongyeong Yonghodo,' proposed a vision for the Yonghodo tourism industry, and introduced a 'tourism sustainability strategy,' receiving high evaluations.
