Indonesia COVID-19 Cumulative Cases Surpass 50,000

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Eun-byeol] The cumulative number of confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in Indonesia surpassed 50,000 on the 25th.
According to the Indonesian Ministry of Health, 1,178 new COVID-19 cases were added on that day, bringing the total to 50,187. The death toll also increased by 47, reaching a cumulative total of 2,620. The fatality rate (deaths relative to confirmed cases) stands at 5.2%.
The daily number of new confirmed cases in Indonesia has hovered around 1,000 since it first exceeded 1,000 on June 9. As of May 31, the cumulative number of confirmed cases was 26,473, meaning that 23,714 cases have been added in June alone.
