Jeonbuk Bank Finds Two Surviving 6.25 War Veterans... "We Will Not Forget!"
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Gominhyung] JB Financial Group Jeonbuk Bank commemorated the 70th anniversary of the Korean War by visiting two veterans, delivering daily necessities, and having a meaningful time listening to stories from the battlefields of the Korean War 70 years ago.
This volunteer activity was carried out based on the bank's commitment to never forget the noble sacrifices of the veterans on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Korean War.
All employees of the Jeonbuk Bank Safety Management Office received a recommendation from the Jeonbuk Eastern Veterans Affairs Office for a Korean War veteran living in the Jeonju area who is experiencing financial difficulties, and visited the veteran's home.
The bank directly purchased and delivered household appliances such as gas stoves, refrigerators, sinks, electric rice cookers, and fans, as well as daily necessities like rice, ramen, and toilet paper to the veterans' homes.
Veterans Jo Bongun (90) and Park Sanggyu (89) said, "When I think of the comrades who sacrificed their lives in the tragic Korean War, my heart still aches," and added, "We are grateful to the Jeonbuk Bank employees who carefully took care of our inconvenient living conditions; just visiting us is a joyful thing," holding their hands together.
