Scrap Dealer Owner Arrested for Stealing Frozen Pipes and Buying Stolen Goods
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yoon Jamin] The Dongbu Police Station in Gwangju announced on the 22nd that they have booked Lee Mo (59, female) without detention on charges of acquiring stolen goods and theft, for knowingly purchasing and stealing copper pipes.
Lee is accused of breaking into a construction equipment office in Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, around 11 p.m. on the 26th of last month, stealing a vehicle, and stealing copper pipes from a redevelopment office about 400 meters away.
She is also charged with purchasing 400 kg of materials including copper pipes, knowing they were stolen goods, for 1.25 million won in two separate transactions.
