Chungnam, Joint Inspection with Related Agencies for Identifying and Protecting Children in Crisis
[Asia Economy (Naepo) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Chungnam Province is launching a joint inspection with related organizations to discover and protect at-risk children in the region.
According to the province on the 19th, the province, Chungnam Provincial Police Agency, and Chungnam Office of Education will conduct a full survey of 187 households in the region until the 9th of next month.
The joint inspection is being promoted to comprehensively review the status of child abuse protection in the province and to supplement and improve the on-site response system.
The inspection contents include checking for additional abuse of children at risk of abuse and children under case management, investigating the necessity of separation measures, and post-protection management.
The province plans to confirm safety by diagnosing the risk of children at risk of abuse and children under case management managed by local child protection agencies and the police, followed by home visits and face-to-face investigations with the children.
Also, if signs of child abuse are confirmed on-site, the province plans to protect the victimized children by separating them from their homes after consulting experts, and to provide support by linking with local welfare agencies.
