Lee Ho-cheol, Doosan China President, Inaugurated as 27th Chairman of China-Korea Chamber of Commerce
[Asia Economy Beijing=Special Correspondent Park Sun-mi] Lee Ho-cheol, President of Doosan China, was inaugurated as the 27th President of the Korean Chamber of Commerce in China on the 18th.
The Korean Chamber of Commerce in China held its regular general meeting on the same day and elected Lee Ho-cheol as the 27th President.
In his inaugural speech, the new president stated, “I feel a heavy responsibility in taking on the important role of president at a time when our companies are facing unprecedented difficulties due to the slowdown in China’s economic growth and the domestic market recession caused by COVID-19. However, just as we have always united our strength to turn crises into opportunities during difficult times, we will strive to help our companies create new business opportunities and achieve further growth in the post-COVID era Chinese market.”
The new president joined Doosan in 1989 and has held positions including Head of Doosan Strategic Planning Department, CFO of Doosan Infracore China Corporation, Executive Director of Doosan Strategic Planning Headquarters, and CFO of Doosan Infracore. Since 2015, he has been serving as President of Doosan China.

The Korean Chamber of Commerce in China was established on December 10, 1993, as the only Korean legal organization in China. From 700 member companies in 17 regions at its inception, it has grown to over 3,500 member companies in 44 regions as of June 2020, making it the largest foreign economic organization in China. It conducts various activities including providing business management information, supporting member exchange activities, and promoting economic cooperation such as trade and investment.
