Six Members of Volleyball Club Injured or Killed in Rainy Road Accident
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Two people died and four were injured when a vehicle driven by young people returning from a volleyball club meeting slipped on a rainy road.
According to the Jeonnam Police on the 13th, at around 10:15 PM the previous day, an SUV driven by A (20) collided with a guardrail and overturned on a one-lane road in Yongsan-myeon, Jangheung-gun, Jeonnam.
As a result of the accident, two people including A died, and four passengers sustained various injuries and were taken to the hospital.
The police are estimating that the accident occurred because the vehicle, running downhill, slipped due to heavy rain exceeding 20mm per hour from 10 PM, the time of the accident, while a heavy rain advisory was in effect in Jangheung-gun.
