Real Estate Industry Association Appoints Jo Inchang, Myongji University Emeritus Professor, as President
[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] The Korea Real Estate Industry Association held an academic seminar at the 60th Anniversary Hall of Kangwon National University on the 10th and announced on the 11th that Jo Inchang(photo), Honorary Professor of the Department of Real Estate at Myongji University, was appointed as the 6th president. The term of the new President Jo is until June 2022.
President Jo earned his Ph.D. in Real Estate from Kangwon National University and served as the Vice Dean of the Graduate School of Real Estate at Myongji University until 2019. He is currently an Honorary Professor at Myongji University and CEO of Myongji Spatial Development. The former president, Jung Heenam (former Director of the Land and Housing Office at the Korea Research Institute for Human Settlements), was appointed Honorary President.

Meanwhile, the academic seminar was held jointly with the Unification Kangwon Research Institute under the theme "Governance Establishment Plan for Regional Development of Gangwon Province and Foundation for Inter-Korean Cooperation." Founded in 2009, the association plays a role in developing the real estate industry by establishing a theoretical foundation and strengthening ties among academia, industry, and administration.
